A Journey to the South
Arrival — Negombo
- Just minutes from the airport, Negombo is the perfect place to shake off post-flight fatigue.
- Explore the fish market, or take a boat ride through the mangroves if you’re feeling rested.
- Negombo beach is lovely for a cool dip or an evening walk along the shore.
Tangalle
- About 3 hours from Negombo, Tangalle is home to open beaches and lagoons with soft sand along a long shore.
- Visit the Hummanaya Blow Hole and the Mulgirigala Temple.
- The Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary, rich in birdlife, is a short drive away.
- Scuba diving and snorkelling in search of coral reefs is a must in Tangalle.
Mirissa
- Visit Sri Lanka’s southernmost point, Dondra Head, and the Coconut Tree Hill.
- Head out on an early-morning dolphin and whale watching excursion — weather permitting, Mirissa offers a high chance of sightings.

Galle
